I’ve worn many hats at this school: substitute, assistant teacher, summer camp instructor, and after school program coordinator. My responsibilities have included aiding the main teacher in conducting lessons, child care, class upkeep, creating culture focused activities, organizing cultural events or field trips, managing the summer camp budget, and immersing kids in French and/or Spanish. I’ve worked with all age groups from infant to school age, but I now primarily work with school age children.

I coordinated and scheduled all social media posts and blogs. I was responsible for organizing weekly lessons, demonstrations, and discussions to help peers understand this area of study. I communicated regularly with Project Managers and Publisher to discuss social media strategies for all book projects and annual conferences.

I worked in a team which collectively conducted 690 onsite and online sessions in the 2016-17 academic year with a 40% return rate. We provided constructive feedback to students’ academic and creative writing, using various style guides including MLA, APA, and Chicago/Turabian. I advertised services via social media weekly, performed classroom visits as requested by instructors, and led and organized bimonthly practicum meetings, semesterly orientation/training, and related events.

I learned steps to starting a small business and writing business plans while assisting with major event planning and community partner collaborations. I also managed multiple social media accounts through Hootsuite.
